No - all you need is your voice. You talk and we do the rest. We take the time to listen carefully to your life stories, we then convert these into an enjoyable read, polish the text through professional editing, and present back to you an incredible book of your life experiences, values, journeys, challenges, aspirations and passions.

Meetings can be anywhere where you feel completely at ease. If this is not at your place of residence, then together we will find somewhere perfect. The most important factor is that we get to sit with you, to recall your recollections, to gently enquire and prompt as you unravel rich years of living life.  

We allow about four months in total from the first facilitation meeting. Four three-hour sessions are conducted with you in person. After the sessions we will present your first draft, then we professionally edit the whole book (including photos), help you design your cover, and organise the printing. 

Yes, photographs are most important in any memoir. The only challenge is choosing which to include - and of course, the quality of the picture. This is a professional publication - clear, high resolution photos will complement your text. We can edit old photos too, bring them back to life. 

Our team of facilitators are highly trained to help you filter through your recollections. It is your story - your content. If you want something included or deleted or re-worded then you will have every opportunity during the proofreading phase. Our role is to make you happy with the outcome. Remember though - if you’re potentially embarrassed about an event or experience, often it's a good reason for including it in your story!

It’s entirely your choice as to when you share your story. We give you the book(s) and you can share them any time you wish - or, you can pop them into your will and keep safely there until such time as it is discovered. Your book - your call. 

Many clients start by thinking this - and then they realise that after years of living they actually do have a lot to say, to recall, to reminisce upon, and to share. Our facilitators are with you every step of the way to help in this process with a range of professionally researched prompts that will take you down memory lane. We encourage you to reach deep, to share your fears and anxieties, your successes and achievements. 

Certainly. Some clients prefer to have a family member or friend join them for the meetings. Your story - your choice. Just keep in mind that this is your life, re-told in your words. Your one voice only. 

No! The Story of My Life is for everyone - no matter your age. Age is subjective - it's all about your life story. As a general rule, the process will take a couple of months but in some instances, time is limited. If time is of the essence, talk to us and we'll do what we can to fast-track the process. 

It's impossible to put a dollar value on your rich legacy. Clients are always thrilled with the end product. It's a big heirloom, and the process is time consuming. Payments are made in three small instalments. Our package is all inclusive - there are no on-going fees or hidden costs.  Talk to us - you'll be surprised how cost effective it is.

Often families choose to 'put in' to pay for a parent's memoir as a gift for a special occasion. What better present could there be than a record of your mum or dad's history, experiences, achievements, challenges, thoughts, sagas and stories? Message us to purchase a gift card.

Occasionally we may need to charge a travel fee - but this is negotiated with each individual client. Because we have facilitators in many parts of Australia, travel costs vary. Facilitating your meetings face-to-face is the most important aspect for us.
